Hollow Chamber
A downloadable game for Windows
This was our first game jam, and unfortunately, we weren't able to achieve everything we set out to do. However, everything so far is functional and we've laid the ground works to work more on the game in the future!
You spawn on a randomly generated grid. You can move on the grid with WASD. You can use the mouse to move the camera (right mouse button and scroll wheel)
There are different event tiles randomly scattered that you can step on. These are:
Bullets: Reloads all ammo
Chest: if your health isn't full, you get a random boost of health
Question mark: You find an upgrade that increases your bullet damage
Fight: You run into some cultists! Either slay them or die.
Skull: Enters you into a fight, but takes you to the next level once completed
You are being followed, so you are unable to backtrack to previously traversed spaces on the grid!
In combat:
You have 6 bullets, and 2 melee attacks per turn. Once these run out, your turn ends. You can choose to "pass" which increases your bonus bar (we didn't get to implement it). You can choose to shoot yourself, however this only damages you. We were originally planning to let you collect bullets that grant you positive effects when shot.
If you die, you are reborn again, doomed to fight these cultists forever...
